1. Who we are
LiveChatDock ("we", "us") is operated by DataConflux, 124 City Road, London, United Kingdom. This policy explains what data we collect through livechatdock.com and the LiveChatDock application, and how we use it.
2. What we collect
- Account data: your name, work email, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text) when you register.
- Workspace data: the websites you register, widget settings, canned responses, and team member details you add.
- Conversation data: chat messages between your agents and your website visitors, and visitor metadata such as page URL, referrer, approximate location, and device type.
- Billing data: handled by Stripe on our behalf. We receive your subscription status and billing history, never your full card number.
- Usage data: log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and reliability.
3. How we use it
- To provide and operate the live chat service you signed up for.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send account, billing, and service-related emails.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
- To improve the product based on aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns.
We do not sell your data or your visitors' data to third parties.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of subprocessors to run the service:
- Stripe, payment processing.
- Cloudflare R2, file/attachment storage.
- SMTP2GO, transactional email delivery.
- Google Analytics, aggregate traffic and usage data for livechatdock.com.
Each is bound by its own data processing terms with us. We don't share your data beyond what's needed to run these services, or when required by law.
5. Data retention
We retain your account and conversation data for as long as your workspace is active. If you close your account, contact us at [email protected] and we'll delete your data within 30 days, except where we're required to keep billing records for legal/tax purposes.
6. Your rights
As a UK-based company, we handle personal data in line with UK GDPR. If you're in the UK, EU, or elsewhere, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. If you're not satisfied with our response, UK-based data subjects can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
7. Cookies
The dashboard uses essential cookies for session authentication and CSRF protection, these aren't optional, since the product can't function without them. The marketing site (livechatdock.com) uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and page usage; we don't use it, or anything else, for advertising, and we don't sell or share this data with advertisers.
8. Children's privacy
LiveChatDock is intended for business use and isn't directed at children under 16.
9. Changes to this policy
We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes, and notify active customers of material changes by email.
